About deGuise Interiors
deGuise Interiors is a full-service interior design firm in Mount Pleasant, SC, serving homes throughout the Charleston area. For more than 38 years, we’ve worked one-on-one with clients from the first conversation through final installation, guiding the selection of furniture, lighting, wallpaper, fabric, rugs, and art for their homes. Our approach is personal rather than one-size-fits-all, shaped around how each client actually lives.
Our design partnerships give us access to some of the best home furnishing suppliers in the country, and our showroom carries the largest selection of fabrics and wallpaper within 150 miles, along with a well-chosen range of lighting and decorative accessories.
Our Interior Design Team
Gigi Chapman
Owner, Principal Designer
A fifth generation Charlestonian, Gigi was raised amid the natural beauty and architecture of the Lowcountry. Surrounded by a family of artists and interior designers, she developed an eye for design early on and a lasting appreciation for Charleston’s character, both of which still shape her work today. For nearly three decades, Gigi has built strong partnerships with some of the most respected vendors in home furnishings, fabric, wallpaper, rugs, and lighting, giving her clients access to some of the best names in design.
Despina Filippakis
Design Assistant
Despi got her start as a College of Charleston intern working alongside Gigi, and has spent close to a decade since then growing into a design assistant role with real depth in the field. She leads many of the firm’s in-home consultations, meeting with clients to understand how they live before developing a plan and specifying the materials behind it, from furniture and lighting to wallpaper and flooring. She’s known for her eye on layering and contrast, the kind of detail that keeps a room from feeling flat, and clients regularly point to her as a reason their project felt easy and well guided from start to finish.
Whether you’re planning a full home renovation or refreshing a single room, our team is here to help.
