About The Author
Despina has worked alongside Gigi for close to ten years, helping with projects from the first idea through the final setup. She works closely with clients on materials, sourcing, and day-to-day follow-up. She pays close attention to how furniture size, fabric, finishes, and lighting come together in a room.
Despi leads many of the firm’s in-home consultations and works directly with clients to understand how they live and what they want a room to feel like. She meets with clients to talk through their goals, then develops a plan and specifies the materials behind it, from furniture and lighting to wallpaper and flooring. Her focus is making sure a room works for everyday life while still having real style.
She’s especially known for her eye on accent pieces and layering, the kind of detail that turns a room from flat to finished. As she puts it, a room usually feels flat when every piece is doing the same thing. Adding something that creates contrast is often what gives a space life.
Despi continues to build on her design education alongside her work at the firm, and clients regularly point to her as one of the reasons their project felt easy and well guided from start to finish.
